Requena Regional Aquatic Center, A benchmark in adapted swimming
Inaugurated in February 2001, the Requena Regional Aquatic Center is a key facility in the Valencian Community for the practice of adapted sports. The project, the result of almost two years of construction and an investment of more than 2.1 million euros, has established itself as a benchmark space for accessibility and inclusion.
Under the management of FESA (Federación de Deportes Adaptados de la Comunidad Valenciana), a private non-profit organization, the center's main objective is to promote sports among People with disabilities, cerebral palsy, hearing, visual and organic disabilities. The federation brings together athletes, coaches, judges, referees and clubs that work together to promote a more accessible and competitive sport.
Renovation with ACCESS B5: more usability, more durability
After analyzing various options, the center opted for the new ACCESSB5 model. According to the center's technical team:
"What we valued most was its improved usability, especially in accessing the water in the small glass without effort and with maximum autonomy on the part of the user. In addition, the equipment offers high safety, which is essential in a facility that works with many People with disabilities. And of course, the minimum maintenance required has been another key point in the decision."
